The Visual Arts Network of South Africa (VANSA) will be running a briefing and proposal-writing workshop for artists at the GoetheonMain project space.
The workshop will be held on 5 and 6 July from 10am to 4pm on each day. The workshop will be aimed particularly at artists interested in submitting proposals for the August 15 deadline for projects at the GoetheonMain project space, but will also benefit artists more generally in improving their proposal writing/concept development skills. This workshop is geared towards providing would-be applicants with much needed skills in producing well rounded, coherent and compelling proposals for creative projects and exhibitions. Participants will go through a hands-on experience of developing concept documents and proposals during the 2-day workshop, and will have the opportunity to submit draft proposals immediately after the workshop for feedback from the VANSA team. Individual written feedback will be provided on draft proposals submitted by Friday, 15 July. Face-to-face consultations can be secured by appointment on Thursday 21 July.
